productions   object  dates  sidelines      Kinkaleri was given birth in 1995 as a grouping of formats and means balancing in the attempt. Joining their previous experiences and studies worked out in various fields, the six components agree with the intention of realizing specific projects, spurring the will to operate and to deal with actual ideas, and always in charge of all the aspects about the creations of their line: planning, conceiving, dramaturgy, distribution, management. Such a dynamic nature of the company has let Kinkaleri follow a route of artistic growth necessary to find and bring to ripeness a personal creative line, achieving important acknowledgments in the Italian and the foreign scene of contemporary art and performance, as an experimental group of a new generation. The absolutely original structure, both the organizational set and the particular artistic production, provides the essential coordinates to the will of creation that drives it: to subject to tension the representative relation between the object and the field it refers to (or should refer to). All the productions bear therefore that transverseness of signs that in the scene of contemporary art are more and more bringing to a crisis the fruition of the representation: a language kneading the languages making them foreign to themselves and then defining itself again somewhere else. The choreographic research has always been meant as a means inside a system looking for a quality that prefers the change, the interaction of original languages through the experimentation of different modes of display. Due to its nature, the productive and creative course of Kinkaleri has always found its development by means of varied itineraries - plays, performances, installations, video-making, sonorizations, stage settings, publications - hosted by contemporary art museums, theatres, festivals, dance and theatre exhibitions, video contests and exhibitions, sound installations, discothËques, television creations.  The group is now composed by Matteo Bambi, Massimo Conti, Marco Mazzoni, Gina Monaco. The works of the group received hospitality from numerous programmes of hybrid nature, above all abroad. Amras (1995) undoes again the word in Thomas Bernhard’s infinite sentence as well as the inadequacy of staying in a continuous, hanging tottering; Doom (1996) gets to implode the molecular resolution of the bodies inside a dazzling white cube that is a centripetal force of microsystems among the pornographic science, a clinical-medical pastime, Beckett, Bacon; Super (1997) soaks the temperature into the masochist suspension beaten by waves under strict control constantly waiting; 1.9cc GLX (1998) grammarises the space, the sight, the listening and the perimeter of the pseudonym in touch with the adventures of Pinocchio, unconditionally an orphan in the evocative labyrinth; Esso (1999/2000) houses a DJ and two dancers in their lines of border and action, and they show themselves in motion one at the time – an audio console, two diagonal false wood linoleum stripes, two chairs: the dry equipment and its organization; et (1999/2000) appears to the eyes and sinks incessantly, soaked in the myth – of Diane and Action – therefore in the representation: an homage to Pierre Klossowski: the revelation and the use of the stereotyped as an enigma: a plunge in apnoea into a complete sound amplification in a dazzling darkness: a veil, a pellicle of phosphorous; Zoo (2000/2001) is a project dedicated to the places where the previously conceived modules are subordinated and at the same time subordinate each architectonic structure that receives them; Ecc.etera (2000/2001) is a visual triptych about the nostalgia of the theatre, of the repetition, of the hollow, of the time without history; My love for you will never die (2001) empties out the representation and fills up the dramaturgy undertaking the whole paradox of it all, it does not stumble and it does not grope, it has not got a friend; it bears the reflection of the end, the only place left where to keep on quarrelling: a black hole, the heart of things; <OTTO> (2002/2003) gathers the zeroing and the inkling of the catastrophe in the contemporary Western civilization by the spectacular and artistic overproduction; Tono (2003) systematizes an acoustic and dynamic experiment between two dancers and a dj; WEST (2003) screens the deadly failure in several cities of the cultural West and places its horizontal bodies into the perimeter of the frame; I Cenci/Spettacolo” (2004); pool (2005); 11cover (2006); Nerone (2006); pinocchio (2007); THE HUNGRY MARCH SHOW//Between a carrot and I (2007); Alcuni giorni sono migliori di altri (2008); THE HUNGRY MARCH SHOW/Yes Sir! Recently Kinkaleri has organized Wanted (2007), a project co-produced by Siemens Arts Program and realized within the F.I.S.Co Festival curated by Xing. The works of Kinkaleri received hospitality from numerous programs of hybrid nature in Italy and abroad, achieving important acknowledgments as an experimental group of a new generation. Other projects are realised contemporarily and, along with the mentioned performances, haunt situation and specific places with which the participation gets connected specifically each time (a museum, a shop-window, a discotheque, a palace, a villa, an abandoned area, an out-of-use building, a gasoline station, an empty swimming-pool), both made to order and chosen precisely on their own initiative. In 2002 the group is awarded the “LO STRANIERO – bets for the future” prize “…for the admirable group coordination within stern theatrical forms made of rough and intense means where dance is hidden rhythm of the reality and a slight distance generates the necessary dissonances” and, still in 2002, the UBU prize for the performance <OTTO> as better dancetheater performance of the year: “one of the most astonishing works of the year, beyond the borders of genre” (M. Marino). In 2002 Kinkaleri organizes Short Connection at the Teatro Studio di Scandicci (Italy), a project meant to have a time of investigation on the state of the arts and more specifically to open up a reflection on the hybrid territory of the research in the field of the arts of the stage, in the light of the deep cultural isolation of the Italian outline. Since January 2001 the operations place has moved to the Spazio-K, one of the hangar-buildings of the Campolmi former industrial area in the historical center of Prato, Italy.
